Text isn’t dead, but it’s no longer where most people’s attention lives. According to Wyzowl’s long-running State of Video Marketing report, 91 percent of businesses now use video as a marketing tool, up from just 61 percent a decade ago. Research from G2 tells a similar story, with the large majority of marketers who use video reporting that it has directly helped increase sales and understanding of their product or service.
What’s changed is not just adoption but format. Multiple 2026 industry surveys point to short-form video, generally under 60 seconds, as the format that drives the strongest engagement, particularly for training clips, quick tutorials, and welcome or introduction videos. For anyone running an online business, that means video is no longer a nice-to-have reserved for big campaigns. It has become one of the fastest ways to build trust with someone who has never spoken to you.
The catch is that video is only useful if people can actually find and watch it when they’re ready, which is why having a dedicated home for hosting and streaming your content matters as much as making the video in the first place. A training library scattered across five different platforms is nearly as frustrating for your audience as no library at all.
Whether it’s a product demo, a webinar replay, or a two-minute welcome video for new subscribers, keeping your video content organized in one place, tied into the rest of your marketing, turns a single upload into an asset you can reuse for months.
